I’m glad you have found my site!
... There is so much to share.
I find over thirty-five years of experience with children, youth, families, professionals, and organizations is highly beneficial to the work I do. I care deeply that the support and information provided to clients target genuine needs. My positive regard for clients, and belief in their ability to access their own resources, supports a collaborative effort to navigate through transitions. Some of our best work is the most challenging, and when we are ready to make needed changes, information and support is available.
In addition to traditional training, intensive study in theories incorporated include: The Nurtured Heart Approach (TM), Emotionally Focused Therapy (TM), and The Empowerment of Listening (TM), Aromatherapy, Ayurveda, and Yoga for Stress Management, Trauma, and Resiliency. I strongly promote a holistic approach to wellness.
One’s perception makes all the difference in the world, and much help is available for us to consider alternative views of just about anything! I find great joy in helping people discover keys to their health and well-being.
I am a graduate of Newport News High School, Longwood College, and Western Carolina University, a former health and physical education teacher and retired school counselor of 23 years. Continued training and experiences integrated from employment with non-profits, a domestic violence agency, and leadership in faith-based, community, civic, and professional organizations provide considerable depth from which to draw information my clients find valuable.
Explore possibilities with me!

It is my great pleasure to be among this
Zenya Yoga Academy class of eighteen.
My experience and recent training emphasizing the practices and benefits of Yoga and Ayurveda
form a major focus of my work.
I welcome those who are ready
to make wellness a priority.
It was a distinct honor to be in the presence of
Dr. Sue Johnson, author of HOLD ME TIGHT and LOVE SENSE, - creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy.
"Creating Connections" - with National Marriage Seminars, was held in Raleigh, NC on September 12, 2015. "Sue", as she insists on being called, offers one of the most effective approaches to couples counseling that exists. The principles apply to individual and family therapy as well.
